  • Would it work ok on a boat (i.e. stable base)?
    Yes, you can use the cooker on a boat with our gas burner connected to your LPG bottle.

    Can it work ok without the stand?
    Yes, you can use the cooker on most surfaces as the base will only get to boiling point of
    100°C 212°F), if you're worried about damaging a surface place a chopping board or a piece of
    timber on the surface first.

    How hot does the water jacket become? – i.e. will it scorch what it sits on, burn hands if touched?
    The cooker will get to 100°C (212°F) on the sides, handle with care and watch young children
    around the cooker.

    How easy is it to clear the ash out?
    Once the cooker has cooled down, tilt the cooker to allow the ash to fall out and scrap
    any ash left out with a small stick, make sure there are no hot embers left on the ground that
    may start a fire.

    Does the unit disassemble for cleaning?
    No, the cooker does not disassemble for cleaning, make sure you empty any left-over water out
    from the cooker before storage, the fire tubes can be cleaned with one of our bottle brushes
    and the body can be cleaned with a scotch bright pad using detergent and water.
